I have vast experience sailing.
Growing up with racing parents, it’s a natural thing for me.
From the early years on our family’s OOD34 “Twee Gezusters” in Breskens, I moved on to the J22. This brought me to matchracing in all different kind of boats in the ’90’s. At the same time I still raced offshore on “Twee Gezusters”.
A dream came true in 2001-2002 on board Amer Sports Too in the Volvo Ocean Race.
Ever since I have been combining all sorts of racing; offshore, matchracing and one-design.
The love for sailing is in my veins and I hope to follow in my grandfathers footsteps, who was still sailing in his 90’s.
